The year is 400 B.C. A group of musicians are about to begin playing on a stage, and there is a huge audience. Some of Europe’s greatest minds are there, including Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, etc.
The music begins. The group of musicians is called My Chemical Romance and they are playing a song called “Welcome to the Black Parade”.
About a minute into the performance, Plato remarks, “wow what this is gay fuckin emo goth shit. anyone who like this music can go fucken cut themselfs.”
Aristotle then gazes into the sky, strokes his chin briefly, and contemplates. He later turns to Plato and says, “Ummm that was extremly rude and unneccesary. MCR has saved more lives than you can count, you inconsiderite fuck tard. MCR fans forever.”
Near the end of the song, Socrates rises from his seat and turns to the people behind him. He brings forth his arm and lets out a hearty bellow. “THUMBS UP IF U LISTEN TO THIS IN 2011 AND U THINK ITS BETTER THAN THE FAGGOT KESHA AND WHIP MY HAIR MAIN STREAM BULLSHIT”. 54 people cheer enthusiastically and lift their thumbs to the heavens.
After the show, the emperor’s official scribe goes around all the rows and surveys each of the individual audience members about their opinions of the performance, and tallies the official opinion of the people: 56,457 people liked it and 2,135 people disliked it. When the results are presented to the emperor, he remarks that if the results were displayed on a horizontal graph, the dislike portion might resemble Justin Bieber’s penis.
So my girlfriend, our friend and I are starting our sophomore year of an art college, and we all signed up to live together in a 4-person house on campus. Our fourth roommate is an incoming freshman, and she seems like a generally chill and okay person.
But this friend she made at orientation. Dear GOD.
when you walk past your crush and they completely ignore you in favor of your friend.
I understand that I don’t have even a single iota of a chance with said person. I’m not holding any hopeful delusions of that fact, but… it would be nice if they at least acknowledged me one in a while.
Sometimes I feel like when it comes to plain old manners, our generation lacks in it… a lot… Even I feel a small digression in my manners at times.
Recently, I read an article about “Morality” and about how emotions play into conscious decisions.
Here’s one of the most debated situations
Logically, it would be better to throw the elderly off because they’ve already lived through their life. Younger people, on the other hand, haven’t. They still have so much more ahead of them. Older people don’t. Chances are, they’ve already lived life to the fullest, so it would be better to let the younger ones live, to give them the chance.
I mean no disrespect to the elderly. I love them. I love listening to them and their stories! I love learning about the past from their point of view, really; however they’re almost through with their life. Soon, they will pass away. Why not give the younger ones a chance to live? I’m sure most elderly people would understand that.
I wouldn’t be the one throwing them off, of course. I don’t have nearly as much audacity to do such a thing, to decide who deserves to live and who doesn’t. I don’t think I would be able to do such a task and live with myself.
OK for all you dumb fucks that said my uncle wouldn’t be able to do anything well he DID! He got ED taken down now and they are currently in a legal debate cuz you just had to go and post fake stuff about someone (me) which is called slander!
Boston. Quite possibly my favorite city only rivaled by New York. Something you need to know about Boston is that there are many Asians there but there are barely any anime shops, manga stores blah blah save for two.
